Airbus loses billion euros

The aircraft manufacturer Airbus has seen losses increase to more than one billion euros last year after deliveries of its aircraft fell by a third.

The company is expected to remain under significant pressure over the next year due to the “volatile environment” created by the coronavirus pandemic.

Last summer the company warned that it would face the “gravest crisis” the in its history due to the pandemic, and planned to cut as many as 15,000 jobs, including 1,700 in the United Kingdom.
