Trump’s delusions continue

The COVID Diaries – 224 29th November

In his first television interview since losing the presidential election to Joe Biden earlier this month, Donald Trump repeated his unfounded claims that voters were allowed to submit ballots after the election and that vote-counting machines were rigged to favour Biden.

He also made bizarre claims that the FBI, the Justice Department and the federal court system were complicit in an attempt to cover up election fraud.

“Why isn’t the FBI all over the place?” he said in his interview. “They are not. They are not, and it’s a terrible thing.”

One advisor has told the press that Trump was like “Mad King George, muttering, ‘I won. I won. I won.’ ”

It seems that his increasingly unhinged attempts to overturn the election result will continue.
